Craig Collier, head of Collier Research Corp., briefed NASA Deputy Administrator Lori Garver yesterday at the Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. Two decades ago, Collier was part of the NASA Langley team developing software to reduce the mass on high-speed aircraft designs.
Collier Research Corp.’s HyperSizer is used at NASA centers from early preliminary design all the way to final analysis test certification. It provides structural tools, methods research and software solutions.
HyperSizer was used during the early stages of developing the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle. Orion remains one of NASA’s top priorities in its 2012 budget, Garver said. Continue reading
